On October 2, 2022, HYSIO conducted/cascaded an MRE and EORE training/session in a high school namely
“Shahr-e naw high school” in Faryab province.
The purpose of the training was to raise awareness about mine dangers and other unexploded ordnance among the community and to integrate it in schools. Fortunately, on October 3, 2022, a group of children showed the trainer a strange object that turned out to be an exploded ordnance and was directly reported to HYSI the reafter which it shows he people have started demonstrating safe behavior by reporting about IEDs/explosive ordinances found or seen. As a result, the recovered ordnance near school have been safely diffused thus saving lives and limbs of many people especially children and If people are aware, incidents of explosions can be avoided. Therefore. Continuing to raise awareness among the community has been proven to be an effective way to reduce mine risks and save lives.
On October 2022 HYSIO delivers PSS and EORE at schools on Chahar-Dara District of Kunduz, Afghanistan
The purpose of the training was to raise awareness about mine dangers and other unexploded ordnance among the community and to integrate it in schools. On November 27, one of the student who have attended on HYSIO awareness session found a Explosive Ordnance in Sarak-e-Bala, Arbab Abdul village, Chahar-Dara District of Kunduz. And the child’s family call our Social Worker Osman Ghani to check it out, and then our Kunduz HYSIO team give the report to the Chahar-Dara district governor to reach it out. Our team called the HALO TRUST staff with the coordination of Rohina Rohin – UNICEF Extender and eventually they come and defused the Explosive Ordnance successfully.
